In years past, there was only one choice for low slope roofing - tar and gravel. Today there is a plethora of roofing materials to choose from. We believe that there is no one system that suits every building and every set of conditions. Most of the widely available roof systems have their place. We carefully consider the needs and unique requirements of each building before recommending the appropriate roof system
BUILT UP ROOFING (BUR)
These roofs have been in use for over 100 years. In recent years new technologies have been incorporated into the traditional BUR systems such as inorganic reinforcement plies and modified asphalt but the time tested asphalt with organic reinforcement plies still remains one of the most popular and reliable roofing choices.
Built Up Roof installations still represent the majority of our work.
Cold Process Roofing
With recent concerns regarding the dangers of torch applied roofing systems cold process roofing systems have become very popular. Most major material manufacturers are scrambling to bring their own cold process systems to market.
All-Bond has always recognized the potential quality and safety of these systems and has been installing cold process roof systems for over thirty years. You might say our roots are based in cold process.
Modified Bitumen
Modified bitumen membrane systems have been available for over 25 years and have very popular in Canada over the last 10 years. These sysems usually consist of two plies of roll roofing materials made of asphalt blended with an elastomeric or plastic modifier.
All-Bond has been installing these systems since they were introduced to the roofing industry.
Single Ply Systems
Although single ply roofing systems have been in use for over forty years in North America, All-Bond treated them with scepticism during their early days. More recently we have taken a conservative approach to installing these systems. We choose to deal only with time tested membranes from reputable suppliers and manufacturers. We believe that your roof is not the place to "try something new". Today we actively install EPDM, PVC, and TPO roofs where we feel that they are suitable.
